SEA BEAST
1. What did John see rise up out of the sea?
Read: Revelation 13:1

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a __________ rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2. What does a beast represent in Bible prophecy?
Read: Daniel 7:17​; Daniel 7:23

These great beasts, which are four, are four __________, which shall arise out of the earth. (7:17)

NOTE: The word 'king' in verse 17 means 'kingdom', as explained in verse 23. Therefore, a 'beast' in Bible prophecy represents a 'king' or a 'kingdom.'

5. How long was power given to this beast to continue?
Read: Revelation 13:5

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue __________ .
NOTE: This beast ruled for forty two months, which was 42 X 30 = 1260 days. Based on the day-year principle, these 1260 days represented 1260 literal years. The beast shall be given power to continue for 1260 years.

6. Whom did this beast make war with and overcome?
Read: Revelation 13:7​

And it was given unto him to make war with the __________ , and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

These are the characteristics of the beast rising up out of the sea:
1. Rising up out of the sea (Revelation 13:1)
2. Speaking great things and blasphemies against God (Revelation 13:5,6)
3. Given power to continue for 42 months or 1260 prophetic days, or 1260 literal years (Revelation 13:5)
4. Making war with the saints and overcome them (Revelation 13:7)
