PRESENT TRUTHS
SEEKERS
THIRD COMING events
1. What will descend out of heaven onto the earth at the end of the 1,000 years?
Read: Revelation 21:2,10
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

NOTE: The New Jerusalem will descend - from heaven onto the earth.

2. What will happen on the earth when the New Jerusalem descends onto the earth at the end of the 1,000 years?
Read: Zechariah 14:1,4,5,10
1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, ...
4 And his feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall split in the middle …, and there shall be a very great valley
5 …: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem:

NOTE: Jesus' feet shall touch the earth [during the second coming, His feet do not touch the earth]. The mount of Olives will split in the middle, there will be a great valley, all the land will be turned as a plain, and Jesus will come with all the saints.

This passage describes the third coming, not the second, because it says that Jesus comes 'with all the saints'. During the second coming, Jesus comes 'with His holy angels' (Matthew 25:31; 2 Thessalonians 1:7) and 'for all the saints' (Hebrews 9:28).

3. What will happen to the wicked at the end of the 1,000 years?
Read: Revelation 20:4-5
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

NOTE: The wicked dead will be resurrected. They will be raised with the same characters [rebellion spirit] as when they died.

4. What will happen to Satan at the end of the 1,000 years?
Read: Revelation 20:3
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season

Revelation 20:7-9
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city

NOTE: As the wicked dead are resurrected, Satan will be released from his bondage [his inactivity] for 'a little season' [for a little while] because he will have people to be deceived. He will deceive all the nations to gather them to battle, 'to compass the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city.'

5. What will happen to the wicked after they surround the New Jerusalem?
Read: Revelation 20:9,15
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
15 And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

NOTE: The wicked will be destroyed by fire coming down from God out of heaven. In other words, they will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.

6. What will happen to the the devil after they surround the New Jerusalem?
Read: Revelation 20:10
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

NOTE: The devil will also be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.

7. What does Jesus call this 'lake of fire and brimstone'?
Read: Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

NOTE: The second death.

8. What will happen to the earth?
Read: 2 Peter 3:10-13
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hastening to the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

NOTE: The earth and everything in it [every trace of sin] will be burned up. Then, God will create new heavens and a new earth where only righteousness dwell. Sin, the cause of all pains and sufferings, will be no more.
