CHRIST THE MAN
1. Who was Christ before He came into the world?
Read: John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the __________, and the Word was with __________, and the Word was __________. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were __________ by him; and without him was not any thing __________ that was __________.

NOTE: Christ was called the Word. He was with God. He was God.
He made all things. He was the creator of all things.
​

2. How did the world react when Christ came to the world?
Read: John 1:9-11
​
That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him __________. He came to his own, and his own received him __________.
​
NOTE: The world did not know him. The world did not receive him.
​

3. What did Christ become when He came to the world?
Read: John 1:14; 1 John 4:2
​
And the Word was made __________, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (1:14)
​
Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: (4:2)
​
NOTE: Christ became flesh, a man.

4. How did Christ come to the world?
Read: Galatians 4:4​
​
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a __________, made under the law,

NOTE: Christ was born of a woman.
​

5. How was Christ as a child?
Read: Luke 2:40; Luke 2:52
​
And the child __________, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was on him. (2:40)

And Jesus __________ in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (2:52)

NOTE: Christ grew physically, mentally, and spiritually.

6. How was Christ as a man?
Read: Luke 24:39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not __________ and bones, as you see me have.

NOTE: Christ had flesh and bones.
​

NOTE: Christ was wearied.

7. Could Christ have fallen when tempted and sinned?
Read: Hebrews 4:15
​
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points __________ like as we are, yet without sin.
​
NOTE: Christ was tempted to sin. He was tempted like as we are. The temptations were real. Christ could have fallen when tempted and sinned.
​

8. Did Christ sin?
Read: Hebrews 4:15
​
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet __________ sin.

NOTE: Christ could have fallen when tempted and sinned but he did not sin.
​

9. What will Christ be?
Read: Luke 24:39​

NOTE: Christ was still a man that had flesh and bones after His resurrection.

Read: Acts 1:11​
Which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in __________ manner as you have seen him go into heaven.

NOTE: Christ will come in like manner [same way, same form] as when He went into heaven.
Christ will remain a man forever.
