BROAD COMMANDMENTS

1. What does God say about the Ten Commandments?
Read: Psalms 119:96
I have seen an end of all perfection: but your commandment is exceeding __________.
NOTE: The Ten Commandments are exceeding broad. They are deeper than the ones that are written.
2. What did Jesus teach about the Ten Commandments?
Read: Matthew 5:21,22
You have heard that it was said of them of old time, You shall not __________; and whoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say to you, That whoever is __________ with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whoever shall say, You fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
NOTE: He who is angry with his brother without a cause breaks the sixth commandment, 'You shall not kill.'
Read: Matthew 5:27,28
You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit __________: But I say to you, That whoever looks on a woman to __________ after her has committed __________ with her already in his heart.
NOTE: He who looks at a woman to lust after her breaks the seventh commandment, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
Read: Matthew 5:32
But I say to you, That whoever shall __________ his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit __________: and whoever shall marry her that is divorced commits __________.
NOTE: He who divorces breaks the seventh commandment, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
3. What did Paul say about greed?
Read: Colossians 3:5
Mortify therefore your members which are on the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is __________.
NOTE: He who is greedy breaks the second commandment, 'You shall not make to you any graven image [idol], or any likeness of any thing. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them.'
4. What did Samuel say about stubbornness?
Read: 1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and __________. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.
