MILLENNIUM

1. When will 'the thousand years' begin?
Read: Revelation 20:4-6

I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they __________ and __________ with Christ a thousand years. ... This is the __________ resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

NOTE: 'The thousand years' is also called 'the millennium.' It begins with the first resurrection [the resurrection of life or the resurrection of the righteous] that will happen during Christ's second coming (see RESURRECTION).

2. When will 'the thousand years' end?
Read: Revelation 20:4,5

I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the __________ of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.

NOTE: 'The thousand years' ends with the resurrection of 'the rest of the dead,' which refer to those not resurrected in the first resurrection. Therefore, 'the thousand years' ends with the second resurrection [the resurrection of damnation or the resurrection of the wicked] (see RESURRECTION).

3. What will happen with Satan in the beginning of the thousand years, during the thousand years, and at the end of the thousand years?
Read: Revelation 20:1-3

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and __________ him a thousand years, And __________ him into the bottomless pit, and __________ him up, and set a __________ on him, that he should __________ the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be __________ a little season.

NOTE: Satan will be bound in the beginning of the thousand years. He will remain in bondage during the thousand years, be cast into the bottomless pit, be shut up, and be sealed, in order that he should not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years are over. He will be released for a little while at the end of the thousand years.

4. What will the righteous do during the thousand years?
Read: Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and __________ was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they __________ and __________ with Christ a thousand years.

NOTE: The righteous will live [be resurrected] and reign with Christ [sit on thrones] and judge for a thousand years.

5. Whom will the righteous judge?
Read: 1 Corinthians 6:2,3Psalms 149:6-9Matthew 19:28Luke 22:28-30

Do you not know that the saints shall judge the __________ ? Know you not that we shall judge __________ ?

NOTE: The righteous will judge the world and angels
